Well-established, respected and professional, we are widely regarded as the North West's premier pet care service. We provide a home visiting (pet sitting) service to care for domestic pets while owners are away, for anything from a day to several months. Care is provided in the comfort of the pet's own home - we visit to feed, clean, groom, medicate and most importantly, cuddle, reassure and play with pets, according to their individual needs.more....
We also provide a top notch dog walking service for regular and occasional customers - exercising all breeds of dogs, young and old. We do not throw your dogs into the back of a van and walk them in an unruly pack - we take them out on their own so we can give them 100% of our attention and can properly care for and control them.
Included in the price of our service are a number of value-added features such as houseplant watering and a few sensible actions which are designed to enhance your home security. We protect your property by being very discreet - unlike our competitors, we don't wear uniforms advertising our service or have logos on our vehicles. We'll always introduce you to the Furry Godmother who has agreed to care for your pets, and we try to have the same person come back to you next time you book.
Why Cats Hate Catteries - Why Dogs Dislike Kennels - Why Rabbits Couldn’t Care Less

Cats Hate Catteries because being locked up in a pen is nothing like relaxing in a comfy armchair or on a sunny window ledge. That's why cats often feel abandoned or punished when incarcerated this way.

Cats are easily traumatised by different surroundings and unfamiliar noises. The resulting stress often means they stop eating which can lead to dehydration and ultimately death.

Whether indoor or outdoor, cattery pens invite the transmission of infection or infestation. Containment is detrimental to your pet’s mental welfare and often their health and fitness too.

If you use a cattery, be prepared for your cat to hiss at you or sulk in a corner when your return. You will no doubt be happy to be reunited, but they may not feel the same way after their ‘holiday’.

Fed & Watered make a point of giving your cat(s) lots of TLC, caring for it's physical as well as emotional welfare. Back to Top

Dogs Dislike Kennels because although they’re often more used to being away from home than cats, being confined in close proximity to other dogs can cause them needless stress.

Important aspects to consider are your dog’s need for exercise and routine. Our visits continue your dog’s feeding and walking routine, making him or her feel comfortable and reassured. In kennels, your dog will be fed and exercised when it suits the staff.

Using kennels means inviting the possibility of infection or infestation. Many of our customers came to us because they were fed up with the suffering their pets went through after their return from kennels and the vet bills they consequently incurred.

Leaving your dog at home, however, can help to improve security while you’re away. Most burglars are dissuaded by a barking dog. And since Fed & Watered is a tailor-made service, we will visit your dog as many times a day as you wish. Some are fine with 2 visits a day, some 3, and some 4. It's up to you to determine what your dog's needs are.

Please note: We never allow dogs off the leash unless they are within confined areas, away from roads. Our rules are there to protect your pet and others. We also clean up your dog's mess as a courtesy to all users of public space. Back to Top

Rabbits Couldn’t Care Less because they're used to living in a cage or a hutch.

The same goes for hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, mice, tortoises, reptiles, fish, birds and spiders. Their needs may be different, but they should never be ignored as all pets enjoy interaction and need regular cleaning and feeding. If your pet's run is not attached to their hutch, we will happily transfer them twice a day so that they can get some fresh air and exercise. Back to Top
