Dog Walking

Our dog walking service is called Walkies 1-To-1. As the name suggests, we only walk dogs on a ONE person to ONE dog basis, never in a pack. That way, we can ensure they remain properly controlled and cared for.

We have often seen pack dog walkers wandering around talking on their mobile phones whilst completely ignoring the dogs in their care. Even if they wanted to, they cannot watch numerous dogs at the same time, so they often fail to even pick up after them. We have also witnessed incidences which could easily have been avoided had there been fewer dogs together.

Our philosopy is to provide an excellent and reliable service. We pay proper attention to the dogs in our care and exercise them well, letting them play off the lead if their behaviour is good enough and we are in a safe, enclosed place. We often take toys with us for play and always encourage dogs to socialise well with each other. Some dogs can only be walked on a lead but we still make sure they stretch their legs properly even in these circumstances. We always pick up after dogs and frequently help to train and improve canine behaviour by using consistent commands.

We also run a puppy care service whereby we visit young pups at home for feeding and toilet training until they can start going out for short walks. Then we start walking them, gradually increasing their walk times so as to protect their bones as they set.

Our dog walkers are trained and carefully selected for their love of dogs, their canine care experience, and other important characteristics such as dependability.

We never advertise on vehicles or uniforms. We come and go discreetly so the whole neighbourhood is not alerted to the fact that you are not at home yourself!
